There’s stiffened water added
to sprightly grass tips, and
I cower to the taste of involuntary
teeth clanging under
now sleeping stars, hurried
in a venture that loses its purpose
when the time comes to perform:
but it’s the promise
of tepid entanglements in
sticky cotton and
shared morning-
breath that presses me
to wait.

I know yuou wrote this lke forever ago, but I agree with you when you say you don't like thhe catagories for thhe poetry. Why can't they make it simple and just have something like rhymiong ir no ryming? The weird thing about this poem is the way I read it it ALMOST sounded like a haiku, even thogh I know it isn't. You should come a see my poetry, I think you may like it.
